The Third Annual
Covenant-First Fall Conference

Featuring Dr. Marva Dawn
September 11th and 12th

Questions? Please email covfirstconference@yahoo.com

We invite you to join us for our third annual fall conference, which this year features Dr. Marva J. Dawn as our teacher. This year’s conference focuses on the challenge of raising godly Christian children and youth in our increasingly secularized society. Dr. Dawn will explore both the challenges faced by those seeking to live as faithful Christian families and churches, as well as the Biblical solution to these challenges. The conference includes two general sessions, free and open to all, as well as a special seminar especially designed for Christian educators, pastors, lay leaders—and all seeking a more intensive look as these issues and practical ways to build strong Christian families in our churches. We hope to see you in September!

Friday’s program features Dr. Dawn teaching about the problems and challenges increasingly faced by Christians and churches seeking to foster spiritual growth among their children, youth and families. The evening includes special music, and is followed by coffee and dessert in Metzger Hall. Free childcare for infants and toddlers is available in the church nursery.

Saturday, September 12, 2009

9:00-10:15am
Worship, teaching, fellowship!
Free and open to all.

Saturday’s program features Dr. Dawn teaching about the Biblical solution to these problems, and also includes special music. Free childcare for infants and toddlers is available in the church nursery.

Both general sessions are free and open to all; no registration or reservations are required.

11:00-3:00pm
Leader’s Seminar
Advance Registration Required
$10/person; boxed lunch included.

Saturday’s special seminar is designed for Christian educators, pastors, Sunday School teachers, lay leaders, and anyone who wants to explore these issues deeply and is seeking practical applications of Dr. Dawn’s teaching. The program includes an opportunity for questions and answers with Dr. Dawn, discussion, and a practical exploration of three key solutions available to Christians: prayer, story, and play. Come prepared to wrestle with the challenges, to spend intensive time in prayer, and to leave with practical ideas to implement in your churches and families. You will gain the most from the seminar if you attend both the Friday evening and Saturday morning general plenary sessions.

Advance registration for the Seminar is required by September 4, 2009. Space is limited; please RSVP early to ensure you have a spot at the seminar!
