Covenant-First Presbyterian Church invites everyone to join the congregation
for the second annual Covenant-First Weekend Conference. We're excited
to announce that Dr. Andrew Purves will return again this year as the
conference guest preacher, preaching from Ephesians
2.
The conference is free and open to all. No advance registration is required.
The nursery will be available for infants and toddlers Friday evening
and Sunday morning.
About Dr. Purves
Dr. Andrew Purves
is the Hugh Thomson Kerr Professor of Pastoral Theology at Pittsburgh
Theological Seminary. A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, he holds degrees
from the University of Edinburgh and Duke University.
Dr. Purves came to the United States in 1978 and was ordained by the
Presbytery of Philadelphia in 1979. He joined the faculty of Pittsburgh
Seminary in 1983. Dr. Purves speaks annually at numerous conferences and
is the author of several books, including his most recent, The
Crucifixion of Ministry, which was released in late 2007.
